My life has had its ups and downs. There have been many hardships and struggles, but through it all, I have tried to remain grateful and stay focused on the positives along the way.
I have worked very hard, and consider myself extremely fortunate. I don’t believe in coincidences. Everything happens for a reason. I was touched by the the incredible ripple effect of kindness and encouragement people around me can give you – during your time in need.
I have always found that you get what you give out of life. And even in the hardest of times, when I had nothing to give, and often relied on the kindness of others to just get by, I still had my smile. No one can take that away, and sometimes the only thing someone else really needs are a few kind words and a smile.
A small detail which so often people pass, I took notice. So much so that it impacted my life. It was a message written on a card. And so the kindness of a handwritten card containing “Pay It Forward” cards had and have inspired me so far.
Looking back on the events that have occurred in my life, at that point in time, I may never be rich in material things, but I was in fact blessed with happiness and health.
Making a conscious effort to look for ways to “Pay It Forward” only makes all the good energy shine more brightly around you. Choose each day to see the radiance of positivity going on around you, and reflect that back onto the world.
One day we can be sitting on top of the world and the next day we can be hit with a major problem that we do not know how to deal with. You feel that you are swaying unsteadily on a tightrope between one extreme and another, the good moments and the bad. Dealing with life’s ups and downs is like being on one big ride on the roller coaster… it can make you dizzy, can’t it?
How you handle your ups and downs is up to you.
And so on, and so forth…repeat the kindness. Pay It Forward.
