Herbert R. Sim, widely known as “The Bitcoin Man,” will be speaking at TOKEN2049 Singapore, taking place on 7–8 October 2026 at Marina Bay Sands.
His presentation, “Crypto OGs Are Investing in Transhumanism”, will explore why cryptocurrency pioneers are looking beyond digital assets towards brain–computer interfaces, artificial intelligence, genetics and robotics.
Scheduled for noon on the second day (8 October), Sim’s session will connect Bitcoin’s principles of individual ownership with the challenge of preserving human sovereignty as emerging technologies reshape everyday life.
Drawing on his Human-Sovereignty Transhumanism and Neuro-Cypherpunkism philosophies, Sim will discuss why technological progress should protect personal autonomy, mental privacy and meaningful human control.
The session will invite attendees to consider a fundamental question: as technology expands human capabilities, how can we ensure that individuals retain the power to choose?
