Herbert Sim shared his delight, being able to spend the week with communities supported by World Vision Foundation Thailand (WVFT) through its Sustainable Livelihood programme, on behalf of TheBitcoinMan.
A child’s future should never be limited by poverty. Yet poverty remains one of the greatest barriers to education, health and healthy development. WVFT works alongside families to help break this cycle, so that vulnerable children have a stronger opportunity to learn, grow and fulfil their potential.
The programme addresses root causes of child and family poverty, including food insecurity, climate vulnerability, and limited access to markets and livelihood capital. By advancing equality and sustainable economic opportunity, WVFT helps communities build greater resilience for the long term.
In these communities, families received chickens and practical training in rearing them for eggs and meat. This creates produce that can be consumed at home or sold at local markets—turning a small beginning into a sustainable livelihood, greater self-reliance and renewed hope for their children’s future.
